Home Care FAQ
Where Compassion Feels Like Family….. and the Sweetest Care Happens at Home.
Answers to the questions families ask us most about services, scheduling, pricing, and the first visit. We service both St. Louis City, and St. Louis County areas.
Services
What kind of care do you provide?
We provide non-medical home care — personal care, companion care, homemaker services, and daily living assistance — along with private pay nursing services such as skilled nursing visits, wound and skin care, health monitoring, and patient and family education.
Do you serve my area?
Yes. We service both St. Louis City, and St. Louis County areas.
Can care be customized for my loved one?
Always. Every care plan is built around the client's routine, preferences, health needs, and the family's schedule, and it is adjusted as needs change.
Do you offer respite care for family caregivers?
Yes. Family caregiver relief and respite visits are part of our specialty programs, along with breast cancer recovery support, senior wellness visits, aging in place services, and our hospital-to-home transition program.
Scheduling
How do I get started?
Call 314-499-0300 or send us a message through our contact page. We'll talk through your needs and set up a free in-home consultation.
How quickly can care begin?
In most cases care can begin within a few days of the consultation. For urgent hospital-to-home transitions, call us directly and we will do our best to move faster.
What visit lengths are available?
We offer short check-in visits, half-day and full-day shifts, and ongoing weekly schedules. Nursing visits are typically scheduled as needed based on the care plan.
What if we need to change or cancel a visit?
Just call the office. We ask for as much notice as you can give so we can adjust the caregiver's schedule and keep your coverage consistent.
Pricing Basics
How is pricing determined?
Rates depend on the type of care (non-medical home care versus private pay nursing), the number of hours, and how often visits occur. You receive a clear rate before care begins — no surprise charges.
Is there a cost for the consultation?
No. The initial consultation and care assessment are free.
How do you handle payment?
Our nursing services are private pay. We review billing and payment options with you during the consultation so everything is understood up front.
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Minimums vary by service type and schedule. We'll go over exactly what applies to your plan when we build it together.
Your First Visit
What happens during the first visit?
We introduce your caregiver, review the care plan together, walk through the home for safety, confirm routines and preferences, and answer every question you have before care begins.
What should we have ready?
A list of medications, contact information for doctors and family, any mobility or dietary needs, and a note of daily routines that matter to your loved one.
Can family be present?
We encourage it. Having family there helps us learn your loved one's story and makes the transition feel natural for everyone.
Will we have the same caregiver each time?
We work hard to keep caregiver assignments consistent so trust and familiarity can grow. If a substitute is ever needed, we brief them fully on the care plan first.
Still have questions?
We're happy to talk it through with you and your family.
